The problem of simulation of the contact moving in a switch under the action of nonlinear force is considered, the energy dissipation and a sequence of rebounds being taken into account. Using the line method the problem is transformed to a second order ordinary differential equations system. To solve it an effective algorithm based on the Gear technique is applied.
