Doctorates in mathematics at the University of Lvov in the years 1877-1917

The law granting academic degrees at the University of Lviv was already stored in the document of John Casimir of 1661 years. Lviv University led the effort to obtain these rights. They were Opposed the Academy and the Academia Zamoscensis. At the time of the Austrian Emperor Joseph II (1784-1805) decree of 1786 was agreed form of broadcasting doctorate. Each was awarded a doctorate by the Senate, and the promotion took part rector and the deans of all faculties. Obtaining a doctorate for defending the theses of the main course and the exam.In the article a list of persons authorized to strict tests, subjects of their dissertations and exam results are presented.Regarding biograms of listed people refer to the cited sources. In some cases, some details mainly relate to the process of doctoral degrees are given.
