Résumé

Wiaczesław Aleksiejewicz Dobrowolski był ukraińskim matematykiem zajmującym się historią matematyki w dość szerokim zakresie. W latach 1946-1948 studiował na Uniwersytecie Kijowskim i zaocznie w Wyższej Szkole Pedagogicznej w Kijowie. W 1950 roku ukończył też zaocznie studia z filozofii na Uniwersytecie Moskiewskim. Od 1950 roku pracował na Politechnice Kijowskiej jako asystent (1950-1957), docent (1957-1972) i profesor (1972-2007). Był doktorem habilitowanym nauk matematycznych oraz zasłużonym działaczem oświaty Ukrainy. Opublikował ponad 200 prac, w tym 9 monografii i książek, 2 podręczniki, dziesiątki artykułów przeglądowych z historii analizy matematycznej, geometrii analitycznej, teorii równań różniczkowych i innych zagadnień z historii matematyki. Przedstawiamy tutaj koleje jego życia oraz krótko jego dorobek naukowy. Viacheslav Alekseevich Dobrowolski was a Ukrainian mathematician who mainly dealt with the history of mathematics in a fairly wide range. In the years 1946-1948 he studied at the University of Kiev and in absentia at the Higher Pedagogical School in Kiev. In 1950 he also graduated from Moscow University in absentia. From 1950 he worked at the Kiev Polytechnic as an assistant (1950-1957), associate professor (1957-1972) and professor (1972-2007). He was a doctor (doctor habilitatus) of mathematical sciences and a distinguish personality in the education of Ukraine. He has published over 200 works, including 9 monographs and books, 2 textbooks, dozens of extensive review articles on the history of mathematical analysis, analytic geometry, the theory of differential equations and other topics in the history of mathematics. We present here the vicissitudes of his life and briefly his scientific achievements briefly.
