One-electron solitons in two-dimensional tunnelling structures

Explicit formulae are obtained for solving a system of difference equations describing the potential distribution at the nodes of a two-dimensional tunnelling structure. Static states are simulated numerically and the dependence of the specific density of solitons on the external field is computed.
