Discrete convergence of multi-step methods in eigenvalue problems for ordinary second-order differential equations

Methods of functional analysis are used to prove the convergence of multi-step methods for solving eigenvalue problems for ordinary second-order differential equations. The convergence of both the eigenvalues and the eigenfunctions is considered.
