The general necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained for the approximation with respect to a functional of maximin problems with connected sets. Taking the example of a maximin problem for a system of ordinary differential equations with phase constraints, we illustrate how the general theorem can be used to prove the convergence with respect to a functional of different approximations of the initial problem.
