We develop some discriminant form techniques using which we describe the intersection form of a $4k$-manifold glued from two other manifolds. The description uses the notion of fusion of finite forms introduced in the paper. It is closely connected with a more familiar notion of cobordism of such forms. Bibliography: 12 titles.
