Space-time ray method of the construction of Love and Reileigh surface waves for the elastic layered half-space is obtained. The characteristics of half-space vary slowly in horizontal direction. The free boundary and interfaces are slightly curved. The surface wave is treated as a packet of harmonic waves, having the amplitude and frequency modulations.
