The modified Masing model

The well known one-dimensional structural Masing model presents the system of parallel rods under the uniform uniaxial straining. This model is extended by the rods failure conditions. This allows prediction the declining branch on the diagram of material straining, the Bauschinger effect’s inversion and the negative value of the increment (instantaneous) coefficient of the transverse deformation at the ending (postcritical) stage of straining.
