We suggest a new approach to the estimation of residual strains and stresses in the shoe upper blank while forming process. The construction of geometrical model of last is performed using the new technologies in design. By the treatment of experimental data we determine the deformation characteristics of blank material. The imitation contact problem which allows fast estimation of material properties of deformable detail is solved.
