The penetration of free hollow thin-walled turbulent water jets into water is studied for a conical-jet aerator with $60^{\circ}$ apex angle. Some experimental results for the period of steady regular self-oscillations are discussed. For the jet discharge values in the range $160\le Q \le 550~\text{cm}^3/\text{s}$ and the elevation of the jet aerator annular nozzle above the water surface in the range $1\le H\le 28~\text{cm}$, the dependence of the self-oscillation period on the nozzle's gap width $\delta$ is determined for $0{,}07\le\delta\le 0{,}12~\text{sm}$.
