The present paper deals with the development and implementation of numerical methods for investigating the stress-strain state of elastic-plastic solids with large deformations. An incremental loading technique is used. Spatial discretization is based on the finite element method. Using the proposed procedure, the problem of elastic-plastic deformations of a pipe and the problem of tension of a round bar are solved.
