The correspondence between lattice and continuum models is investigated for the example of a one-dimensional system that includes interacting bosons and fermions. The results of numerical analysis of the lattice system are compared with the results of possible continuum models. A continuum model that makes it possible to explain the asymmetric solition shape, boundary effects, and other results obtained on the lattice is constructed.
