The motion of binary systems consisting of extended self-gravitating bodies is studied. It is shown that the parameter $\tau$ which characterizes the degree of noninertiality of the standard PPN system has a strong influence on the amplitude of the deviation of the center of mass of the extended body from the fiducial geodesic.
