Nonlocal evolution equations associated with the Zakharov–Shabat spectral problem

Evolution equations with a pseudodifferential operator associated with the Zakharov–Shabat spectral problem are investigated. Correspondence between their symmetries and the symmetiies of Schrödinger-type equations is established. This correspondence is used to construct the soliton solutions.
