A study is made of the dynamic behavior of a number of spin correlation functions of the generalized Ising model in a transverse field for different initial states of the system. The stationary state of the model at large times is analyzed on the basis of some exact results that are obtained and the applicability of the conjecture of the establishment of a spin temperature to the system is discussed.
