A three-particle clustering operator $\mathscr A$ acting on the space $l_2({C_3}^\nu)$ is considered. It is shown that for small values of the clustering parameter the spectrum of $\mathscr A$ consists only of the “three-particle” branch and does not contain bound states of two and three particles.
