Continued unitarity and high-energy hadron scattering

A scheme of high-energy hadron scattering is developed in which the continued condition of two-particle unitarity is used as the basic equation. This makes it possible to draw conclusions about the analytic structure of the diffraction and self-similar terms of the scattering amplitude. The results of the present approach and the $U$-matrix approach are also compared.
