It is shown that when electrons are scattered on impurities in a crystal in a constant electric field the scattering amplitude has a resonance nature, the difference between two neighboring resonance energies being approximately equal to the step in the Wannier–Stark ladder. Experimental discovery of this effect would confirm the existence of the Wannier–Stark ladder.
