The general theory of an oscillator which interacts weakly with an arbitrary medium developed in [1] with allowance for any power of the displacement operator $\mathbf u_0$ of the oscillator in the Hamiltonian of the system is used to investigate the dynamics of the oscillator for definite (linear and quadratic in $\mathbf u_0$) mechanisms of the interaction between the oscillator and fluctuations of the medium.
