The generalised Jacobi coordinates for the non-relativistic three-body system with different masses are introduced. These coordinates make it possible to eliminate the centre of mass motion of the system in such a way that the remaining part of the hamiltonian (in the classical as well as quantum-mechanical case) is symmetric with respect to permutations of all three particles.
