We investigate the influence of the interaction of conduction electrons with spin fluctuations on the optical properties of a ferromagnetic metal. We calculate the dependence of the effective mass and the “transport” relaxation time of an electron as a function of the temperature and the frequency of the incident radiation. We show that the frequency dependence of the electrical conductivity of the ferromagnetic metal differs appreciably from the classical Drude–Zener law.
