Mofification of the reference-spectrum method for solving the Bethe–Goldstone equation in finite nuclei

The reference spectrum method is modified in such a way that only algebraic operations are required to obtain the reaction matrix elements for finite nuclei. No differential equations should be solved. The Pauli operator is treated exactly. An one-particle potential can be taken arbitrary, but the two-particle interaction must not have a hard core.
