Version of the quasipotential approach in quantum field theory is thoroughly considered, in which one of the two particles of a bound system is transferred on the mass shell. Thereby it is possible to obtain the modified Dirae equation which takes into account the motion of both particles. Approximate solution of this equation is found in the case of the Coulomb potential.
