A study is made of different methods of finding solutions of chains of equations for two-time temperature-dependent Green's flmctions which enable one to find simple expressions for the energy of elementary excitations and the damping. The proposed methods are illustrated by the examples of the single-particle Green's function and the matrix Green's function employed in the theory of superfluidity and superconductivity.
