The paper discusses Vujanović's generalization of the Hamilton-Jacobi theory, for non-conservative systems, in the doubled phase space. An alternative way of obtaining motion using algebraic operations on the complete integral of the corresponding partial differential equation is discussed. In the end, this theory is placed in a somewhat broader framework. A completely general procedure for forming the first integrals of a system of ordinary differential equations of the first order is discussed.
