The paper studies the deformation of a beam made of anisotropic and homogenous elastic materials. The cases of a nearly cylindrical beam, a beam subjected to a small natural torsion, and a naturally weakly bent beam are considered. In these three cases, the author treats the problem of deformation of such non-cylindrical beams in a new, simpler way than the previous ones.
