The paper is a continuation and supplement of the article [l], which presents the general theory of bending of plates, and as a special case only a circular plate is solved in it. The present article provides a solution to both basic edge problems for a plate that has a notch on one line. Since displacements and stresses in the middle plane of the plate are taken into account, the paper represents a novelty in the theory of plates.
