In this paper there are considered some general questions of geometry, characteristic for the theory of an indefinite metric: the degeneracy of the equations of imbedding in linear spaces, the topological structure of submanifolds of constant signature, etc. Also examined are some applications of these questions to the study of topological principles of cosmology. Bibliography: 6 titles.
