We discuss character sum analogues of some well-known identities (constant term identities for Laurent-series as discovered by DYSON, MACDONALD, MORRIS, famous identities in the theory of special functions as discovered by BARNES, DIXON and others) as well as character sum identities obtained by different methods (direct computations, study of group representations).
