The combinatorial model for the Bessel polynomials, introduced by Dulucq and Favreau [IMACS Ann. Comput. Appl. Math. 9 (1991), 243-249], allows us to define the q-Bessel polynomials. This model, based upon weighted involutions, leads to a combinatorial interpretation of the three-term recurrence relation and to an explicit formula for the n-th q-Bessel polynomial.
