Results and scores related to the 2015/2016 Serie A, the professional league competition for male football clubs located at the top of the Italian football league system, give the authors the opportunity to describe some algebra techniques. Specifically, we introduce a `dynamical' method to rank teams relying on Perron vectors and resembling the PageRank algorithm used by Google to evaluate website's popularity. We also show how to compare sport tables through two particular metrics on permutation sets: Spearman correlation and Kendall tau rank distance.
