Nebezpečné zimní sporty

The article is motivated by a fatal accident during the luge competition at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics Games. It features several model situations based on the movement on ice and snow: skiing motion, sleighing, riders on the skeleton. In each model situation, the final speed achieved is determined.
