Serological and immunochemical properties of natural heteroagglutinins are studied in serum of the teleost Tinca tinca L. Results showed that agglutinating activity of serum is due to three different proteins. Two of such proteins seem to be essentially similar to mammalian immunoglobulins (IgG and IgM). The third protein, with the electrophoretic mobility of pre-albumin, shows characteristics of agglutinins found in body fluids of many Invertebrates.
