L'influence d'expériences sociales récentes sur les rapports de dominance-soumission chez le pagure Diogenes pugilator (Anomura, Paguridea)

Résumé

Si è cercato di appurare se nel paguro Diogenes pugilator recenti esperienze indotte di vittoria o di sconfitta influenzino in qualche modo le successive interazioni aggressive fra individui dello stesso sesso e di uguali dimensioni. L'esperimento è stato condotto su 76 gruppi costituiti ciascuno da due maschi. I due individui di uguali dimensioni presenti in ciascuna vaschetta, divisa in due scompartimenti da una paratia mobile opaca, sono stati sottoposti a esperienze opposte mediante una serie di tre periodi di permanenzacon con specifici dello stesso sesso rispettivamente di dimensioni assai maggiori o assai minori. Questa prima parte dell'esperimento era intesa a determinare, con forte probabilità, una serie di esperienze rispettivamente di sottomissione o di predominanza ai due paguri di uguali sesso e dimensioni presenti negli scompartimenti di ciascuna vaschetta. I combattimenti finali fra i paguri con diverse recenti esperienze hanno messo in evidenza che queste modificano in modo altamente significativo il comportamento aggressivo; infatti gli animali con esperienze di vittoria sono riusciti predominanti sui loro antagonisti con esperienze di sconfitta nel rapporto di 45 a 20 (su 65 casi esaminati).
