This section comprises several contributions of those who had an opportunity to work in close contact with Emma Castelnuovo, and who provide testimonies of various aspects of her intense, impassioned activities: a heartfelt account of the mathematical exhibition held in 1974 by 138 students of Emma Castelnuovo's from the Scuola Media Tasso in Rome (Mario Barra); a brief description of the four periods that Emma spent in Niger as an invited guest of various institutions, during which she not only interacted with teachers of all levels of schools, but also and most importantly worked in class with school children (Nicoletta Lanciano); the intellectual adventure, since 1987, of the collaboration with Emma Castelnuovo for the revised edition of her textbook for middle schools (Carla Degli Esposti and Paola Gori); a description of the activities carried out by the `Officina Matematica', teacher training courses offered at the Casa Laboratorio in Cenci, created in 2002 thanks to the initiative of a group of Emma Castelnuovo's students and collaborators (Nicoletta Lanciano).
