Several authors point out how the science of mathematics has many similarities with art; my main purpose here, while underlining that mathematics is a huge and complex cultural building, is to emphasize the primary role of game. On the one hand game is an excellent introduction to mathematical thinking, on the other hand living mathematics as a game, with its challenge and enjoyment, helps us take pleasure from doing mathematical research.
