Numerical techniques are presented for identification and analysis of compact atomic nanoobjects surface. Existing in literature approaches for this problem are reviewed. Algorithms are analysed, necessary software is developed and tested for the model clusters. Proposed techniques provide simultaneous identification of atoms constituting the surface and tessellation (meshing) of the surface that may be later used for calculating of different integral characteristics for system under study. Some general quantitative peculiar properties of numerical estimations for surface area and volume of small atomic systems are determined.
Keywords: computer simulation, space-time levels, atomic cluster, nanophysics.
Mots-clés : tessellation of surface
