The numerical method for calculating band structures of metallic photonic crystals is described. The method is based on plane waves expansion of electromagnetic field's components. The previous modifications of this method deal with Drude model for description of metallic properties of media. We generalized this method for more realistic description of dielectric function using Drude–Lorentz model that takes into account the interband transitions in metals.
