The question of using the Hahn polynomials of a discrete variable in regression observation models is considered. Some difficulties connected with the instability of polynomial calculation with reference to round-off errors are discussed. It is shown, that these difficulties are got over by choosing the stable method of Hahn polynomial calculation.
