A problem with inverse time for a parabolic equation is considered. To solve it approximately, an iterative method for a more precise definition of the initial conditions is employed. Problems of selection of iterative parameters as well as operators of transition to a new iteration are considered. Examples of predictions of a model problem with random errors in the input data are provided.
