Transmembrane ion channels and exchangers are involved in forming of the excitable cell action potential (AP). When changing conditions of functioning of the cells an alters appear in the interaction of mechanisms to form AP reflecting a variation of AP shape and duration. Comparative evaluation of the effect of different cellular mechanisms on AP generation in the mathematical models became possible due to development of special methods. Using these methods we have proposed an approach that allows to analyze the causes of AP shape changes in excitable cell model as a result of various influences.
