Gielis Transformation of the Archimedean Spiral

The article shows that the Archimedean spiral, usually described as a smooth spiral, can be transformed in many different shapes. The main part of the article concentrates on the curvature of the transformed spirals. It will also be shown that the shape some of them is an approximation of spiral antennas.
