Ojo Department of Mathematics, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife-Ife, Nigeria (Received October 27, 1999) ABSTRACT. In this paper, the non-central version of the generalized logistic distribution is introduced. It is used to approximate the non-central F distribution. The approximation is found to compare favourably well with its competitors. Tables are provided for illustrations.
