Optimal control problem in mathematical modeling of artificial increase in precipitation

This paper outlines a model for controlling the microstructure of convective clouds, which arises when formalizing the problem of active influences with the aim of artificially increasing precipitation. The formulation of the problem, its discrete representation and solution algorithm are outlined. Some results of numerical experiments are presented to evaluate the effect of active influences for the purpose of artificially increasing precipitation and the results of solving the problem of optimal control of the amount of precipitation from the cloud.
