Trois caractères français ne font pas partie d’ISO Latin-1 : œ, Œet Ÿ. On montre pourquoi ils devraient y être et pourquoi ils n’y sont pas. Puis on en tire quelques leçons sur la normalisation des caractères.
Three French characters (œ, Œ, and Ÿ) are missing in ISO Latin-1. It is explained why they should be there and why they are not. Then, some comments are made on the standardisation of characters.
