Fonctions harmoniques et fonctions finement harmoniques

On montre d’abord que toute fonction finement [hyper]harmonique dans un ouvert du plan ${\mathbf{R}}^2$ est [hyper]harmonique au sens ordinaire. On utilise pour cela un nouveau principe de minimum pour un domaine borné, $U$, du plan, avec des limites fines à la frontière, mais sans aucune hypothèse de minoration pour la fonction hyperharmonique donnée, $u$, dans $U$. Puis on étend ce dernier principe au cas de $U$ finement ouvert (et borné) et $u$ finement hyperharmonique. Aucun de ces résultats ne s’étend aux espaces ${\mathbf{R}}^k$ avec $k>2$. Enfin, on caractérise la notion d’harmonicité fine par une propriété locale d’approximation par des restrictions de fonctions harmoniques ordinaires.

Abstract

It is shown first that every finely [hyper]harmonic function in an open subset of the plane ${\mathbf{R}}^2$ is [hyper]harmonic in the usual sense. This depends on a new boundary minimum principle for a bounded domain $U$ in the plane, using fine limits at the boundary, but without making any assumption on the magnitude of the negative part of the given hyperharmonic function $u$ in $U$. Afterwards this minimum principle is extended to the case where $U$ is just finely open (and bounded) and $u$ finely hyperharmonic. None of these results extends to the spaces ${\mathbf{R}}^k$ for $k>2$. Finally the notion of fine harmonicity is characterized by a property of local approximation by restrictions of usual harmonic functions.
