Abstract (VO)

In this paper Bessel potentials on $C^{\infty }$-Riemannian manifolds (open or bordered) are studied. Let $\mathbf{M}$ be an $n$-dimensional manifold, and $\mathbf{N}$ a submanifold of $\mathbf{M}$ of dimension $k$. Sufficient conditions are given for: 1) the restriction to $\mathbf{N}$ of any potential of order $\alpha$ on $\mathbf{M}$ to be a potential of order $\alpha -\frac{n-k}{2}$ on $\mathbf{N}$ ; 2) any potential of order $\alpha -\frac{n-k}{2}$ on $\mathbf{N}$ to be extendable to a potential of order $\alpha$ on $\mathbf{M}$. It is also proved that for a bordered manifold $\mathbf{M}$ the restriction to its interior ${\mathbf{M}}^i$ is an isometric isomorphism between the spaces of potentials of order $\alpha$ on $\mathbf{M}$ and ${\mathbf{M}}^i$ respectively.

Résumé

On étudie ici les potentiels besseliens sur des variétés riemanniennes de classe $C^{\infty }$ bordées ou ouvertes. Soient : $\mathbf{M}$ une variété $n$-dimensionnelle et $\mathbf{N}$ une sous-variété de $\mathbf{M}$ de dimension $k$. On donne des conditions suffisantes pour que : 1) la restriction à $\mathbf{N}$ d’un potentiel $\alpha$ sur $\mathbf{M}$ soit un potentiel d’ordre $\alpha -\frac{n-k}{2}$ sur $\mathbf{N}$ ; 2) un potentiel d’ordre $\alpha -\frac{n-k}{2}$ sur $\mathbf{N}$ admette une extension à un potentiel d’ordre $\alpha$ sur $\mathbf{M}$. On prouve aussi que pour une variété bordée $\mathbf{M}$ la restriction à son intérieur ${\mathbf{M}}^i$ est un isomorphisme isométrique entre l’espace des potentiels d’ordre $\alpha$ sur $\mathbf{M}$, et l’espace des potentiels d’ordre $\alpha$ sur ${\mathbf{M}}^i$.
