A splitting theorem forabelian-by-FC-hypercentral groups

We extendsplitting theorems due to Zaicev and Duan proving the following result. LetG be a locally soluble FC-hypercentral group and letA be a periodic artinian ZG-module. IfA has no finite ZG-submodules then anyextension E of A by Gsplits conjugately over A.1991 Mathematics Subject Classification 20F19.
