A method for the numerical integration of one-dimensional radiation transport equations for lasers is proposed, based on the search for their approximate solutions as continuous piecewise exponential functions. By this method, using only a few (2–3) space points, the energy characteristics of certain types of lasers, can be found with acceptable accuracy. These lasers include, in particular, those in which the pumping is independent of the space variable and is a function of time only.
